Whether challenging himself on the rolling greens of a golf course or tackling the fast-paced world of cross-border payments, Ash Foreman’s career has been anything but ordinary. As Convera’s Enablement Business Partner (Trade and Services), Ash brings strategic insights, a passion for collaboration, and some international flair to everything he does.
“I have a relentless curiosity for new cultures and far-flung places,” says Ash. “I’ve visited 57 countries and counting. I also love spending time in the great outdoors and am currently focused on reclaiming my scratch golf handicap after a 13-year hiatus, having obtained PGA membership when I was 23 years old.”
A career built on curiosity and commitment
Based in the UK, Ash’s journey in the financial services sector began over 16 years ago, with roles at major banks and smaller providers that laid the foundation for a career in FX and payments. He made the leap over to Convera seven years ago, drawn to the company’s breadth of capabilities and truly global footprint.
“I’ve worn a few hats since joining, from delivering FX risk management and payment solutions as a Business Development Manager, to implementing integrated payments systems as a member of the pre-sales team,” says Ash. Today, he is focused on a broader mission to help Convera’s trades and services sales team excel globally.
“I’m responsible for driving adoption of our sales enablement strategies to boost sales velocity, improve quota attainment, and increase customer retention,” he explains.
Driving global success one strategy at a time
As a Sales Enablement Business Partner, Ash’s days are filled with high-impact collaboration across multiple functions, from Sales and Product Marketing to Product Delivery and Revenue Operations.
“We’re in the thick of several strategic initiatives,” he explains. “We’ve recently launched our new global onboarding program as part of Convera Accelerate that promises to streamline the ramp-up process for new hires. I have also just returned from a week in Singapore, delivering a live onboarding program to our new APAC cohort. In addition to this, I’m working on project to champion the adoption of new tech tools to maximize efficiency across the board.”
When asked about the key skills required to succeed in such a fast paced, cross functional role, Ash explains that a mix of sales success, strategic thinking, and taking ownership of workstreams is critical. “You need to know when to lead, when to delegate, and always ensure you’re communicating clearly and effectively.”

It’s not just the work that keeps Ash energized; the people are a big inspiration too. He enjoys working with a diverse range of people who bring unique perspectives to every project, all focused on the same goal.
“For an industry that for a long time was very male orientated, the Convera team has a very diverse employee base. I work alongside and report to an amazing group of women who are very accomplished and motivate me to achieve my full potential. I value diversity in the workplace tremendously and see this as a great endorsement of our people, culture and company values.”
Outside the office, Ash carries on a family golfing heritage four generations deep. From professional tours to world-renowned clubs, golf runs in his blood. And while his swing might be rusty after a 13-year break his competitive spirit remains.
Ash also appreciates the synergy between his love of travel and culture, and Convera’s core business. “For someone who is passionate about experiencing life in other parts of the world, working in an industry that connects business and trade, and doing so with colleagues from all over the world is such a fulfilling experience,” he says.
The future is bright
Looking ahead, Ash is excited about the road ahead at Convera. “We’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible with our technology investments, and the opportunity to have a front-seat view of our continued transformation and realizing the potential of this innovation is really exciting. I can’t wait for the next chapter.”
