Refunds
Using the Convera payment and refund tracking tool, you can easily find the latest status of where your payment or refund is. Please have your payment or refund reference number ready.
Depending on the payment method selected for original payment, movement of current exchange rates, and/or your institution administrative fee policy, you may receive a refund for a partial amount of the original payment. If you have questions about your institution’s administrative fee policy, please contact them directly.
The time to receive your refund depends on the below factors:
- The payment method you used when completing your initial payment (in some cases your payment may not have been completed using Convera).
- Your institution’s approval process. Before Convera can complete your refund, your institution must complete all required approvals. Please reach out to your institution directly for information on their return policy.
- If any additional information is required, we will reach out to you directly.
On average, it may take up to 10-15 business days to receive your refund.
Your institution can choose whether to refund to the original payment source or a designated bank account via bank or wire transfer by easily capturing beneficiary information though the portal. Unlike most providers, Convera can refund payments even if they did not originate from GlobalPay for Students.
We understand that plans may change and Convera makes it easy for your payment to be returned to you.
- To start the refund process, reach out to your institution directly to request your refund. Your institution will initiate this process.
- Once your institution initiates your refund, depending on the original form of payment, your payment will either be returned to the original payment source, or you will receive an email with instructions to provide banking information securely.
- After initiating your refund, you will receive a receipt via email that will include a unique refund reference which can be used to track the status of your refund.
- Convera will then process your refund back to the designated account.
